What
are wood pellet heaters?
Wood
pellet heaters burn pellets made from compressed recycled sawdust.
They are available as freestanding stoves, fireplace inserts,
and even furnaces and boilers. At the heart of pellet heat technology,
a thermostat controls a slowly turning auger to feed pellets to
the fire from a storage hopper. This provides highly efficient
and automated heating. A pellet stove or fireplace insert can
run unattended for one to six days on a hopper load of fuel, while
furnaces and boilers can be set up with automatic feed systems
so they can run independently.
Pellet
heat has many benefits:
Economical - Heating your home with wood pellets is cheaper
than heating with gas, oil, or electricity. You will save money!
Proven technology
- In wide use throughout Europe, as well as more than 400,000
households in North America, pellet heat is a highly evolved technology.
Green & clean - Wood pellets are a renewable energy made
from otherwise discarded sawdust. Pellet stoves burn renewable
fuel with almost no emissions.
Easy to install - Pellet stoves can be vented through a chimney
or even through the wall like a clothes dryer.
Complements your current heating system - You can use a pellet
heater alongside your existing heating system.
Safe - Our pellet heaters gently radiate enough heat to warm
an entire house, yet are safer to touch than traditional wood
stoves.
Comforting - Enjoy the warmth and comfort of a wood fire.
